‘You and your’ refers to ‘The Owner’
‘Us and we’ refers to PACK YOUR PAWS
1. An initial free consultation will take place at Brook House to ensure compatibility with other dogs. During this visit you will need to disclose any behaviour or health problems including aggression, lack of house training or excessive barking or whining. All relevant medical history needs to be provided and updated every time you make a booking.
2. Please note that due to disruption to our other dogs, complete males (and those who have been castrated for less than 3 months) and bitches in season will not be accepted.
3. You need to ensure that your dog is clean and has received up to date vaccinations and regular treatment for fleas, ticks and worms. The yearly booster certificate will be sufficient to confirm inoculations are up to date. Please note that we cannot accept dogs without vaccination or insurance certificates, or evidence of recent worm and flea treatment.
4. Dogs registered under the Dangerous Dogs Act cannot be accepted for our services.
5. You agree to indemnify PACK YOUR PAWS for any and all liability for any loss or damage caused by the dog whilst being walked / visited or boarded. This includes any harm your dog may cause to another animal or human. It is your responsibility to ensure your dog is fully insured and you must produce for us when requested an up to date valid insurance Certificate and Policy.
6. You will provide us with an emergency contact number as well as the number of a nominee in the UK if you are abroad. In case of emergency we will endeavor to contact you or your nominee. However if we cannot, we reserve the right to make any decision necessary, in the best interest of the animal and on the advice of a veterinary surgeon.
7. In the unlikely event of your pet becoming unwell or needing veterinary treatment we will try to ensure the pet’s usual vet is visited wherever possible. However if there is any concern that the illness is contagious the dog will immediately be placed in an isolation unit at Oundle Vet Surgery for the protection of your dog and other dogs.
8. You are responsible for payment of all veterinary fees and disbursements incurred.
9. If we need to visit a vet with your animal you will be charged an additional £15 per hour this being our charge in addition to the veterinary fees and disbursements referred to above.
10. Whilst being transported dogs will be caged for their own welfare.
11. Pick up and collection times to be agreed between both parties and adhered to as much as possible.
13. Payment may be made in cash or cheque. Cheques need to be made payable to Shirley Smith and must be accompanied by a bankers card.
14. Holiday bookings can be taken for any period of time and we request that 50% of the total cost of the services provided is paid at the new customer consultation meeting (where possible at least 4 days before the service is required to allow the cheques to clear). The remaining 50% of the balance needs to be paid on collection of your dog. We reserve the right to charge interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate on any monies outstanding one month after services have been completed.
15. Daycare bookings can be made on an individual day basis with the full amount payable at the end of each day (when less than 3 days are booked in any given week) or at the end of the week (when 3 days or more are booked in any given week).
16. Please note that a £10 charge will be payable for any cancellation of services if less than 24 hours.
17. For Holiday services, a deposit of 50% of the total cost is payable at the time of booking.
18. If Holiday bookings are cancelled with less than two weeks notice, the full deposit will be retained. If the booking is cancelled with less than four weeks notice, 50% of the deposit will be retained.
19. You will not be refunded should you fail to turn up on the date agreed or should you return earlier than the agreed date.
20. All dogs on Holiday must wear a PACK YOUR PAWS identity tag throughout the duration of their stay.
21. All dogs on Holiday must have current vaccination documentation, which is valid for the whole of their stay. The course of vaccinations must have been completed at least two weeks before the date of the Holiday.
23. If your dog shows any aggressive tendencies or its behaviour becomes uncontrollable or a nuisance beyond reasonable acceptance as judged by us, it would be placed in a dog-boarding kennel until the owners return.
